New Desktop Pictures for Window Computers

Collections, Screensavers, Wallpapers, Photo Rotations, Slideshows - Whatever happened to all those nice background pictures that used to be on our computers?

Many people are finding a lot of the nice high-resolution pictures for their windows desktop are gone since recent Windows upgrades and updates.

Those pictures we have dubbed "wallpapers" and "screensavers" used to be a nice way to make the computer screen more appealing and personalized. Most Windows computers now seem to have a lot fewer of those pictures to choose, and some only have the generic Windows "theme" picture.

More choice in pictures makes it easier to find backgrounds on the desktop enable our icons to stand out but make the vacant part of the desktop more interesting.

If you'd enjoy a wider selection of really nice screen display pictures, I've pulled together a collection and means to do that on your home computer very quickly.

Usually if you search for pictures like this online you have to locate and download them one by one, and the download time can be huge. I've just set up a system to streamline the whole process and handle transfer of the pictures in large numbers more efficiently.

These are high-quality widescreen pictures for themes that are most popular among home computer users right here in our neighborhood:

Animals and Nature themes

Celebrities, Movies, TV and Music themes

Graphical, Gaming and Anime themes

Miscellaneous themes ranging from Cars to People to Space, and more

If you'd like a better choice of pictures, and more of them?

This might be something to add to your list of items to cover next time you need computer help. I've assembled about 1000 desktop pictures so far in my own collection, which you can easily and quickly get copied onto your own computer if interested.

Most computers have plenty of space available for this purpose. All of the pictures have been scanned to ensure they are virus-free.

It's also very easy to set up a "rotation" of pictures - slideshow style. You actually can do this with your own personal pictures as well as with wallpaper collections such as I've described.

When I do this on my own computers or in helping people in the neighborhood, I go into settings for Power, for Screensaver, and for Desktop Personalization. Each computer OS has a little bit different layout and options, but are fairly similar if using Windows.
